Day Before Yesterday (DBY) is a contemporary Indian streetwear label born from a profound sense of
anemoia—“romanticising a past we have never lived.” Rooted in India’s evolving urban culture, DBY
bridges the gap between historical nostalgia and modern streetwear design, translating intangible
subcultural memories into elevated, tactile apparel. Every piece in our collection is an exercise in storyled craftsmanship: classic striped denim is re-engineered with structural, modern modifications; highGSM graphic tees feature refined hardware and detailed typography; custom tie-dye co-ord sets are
treated with raw acid washes; and outerwear is accented with functional buckle details. Influenced by
vintage cinema, archival typography, retro music movements, and mid-century art, DBY designs for
anachronistic creatives, visual curators, and style experimentalists within Gen Z and beyond who view
clothing as an extension of identity and taste. By taking the raw, emotional aesthetics of past eras and
running them through sharp, contemporary streetwear cuts, DBY creates garments that feel like living
artefacts—cultivating a community bound by a shared love for timeless culture, story-driven design, and
modern street utility.
